Welcome back!

As you all know, our friends at FourDeltaOne got threatened by ATVI and are no longer able to provide the good mods that they do. For this reason, some of us have decided to keep the IW4 spirit alive and reopen alterIWNet, to pick up where we left off last time. As such, we won't be doing any modifications to games which are not Modern Warfare 2, so don't bother asking about them. They will not be done. Ever. Modern Warfare 2 is still the best of the Modern Warfare series, and I believe it should be given the recognition it deserves.


Now, you may be asking yourself, what code are you going to be using and why should I come here instead of random-copycat-community? That's an easy question to answer -- because we here know what we're doing and we'll actually be developing the project, using the old codebase as a starting point. There have been a few volunteer developers so far who seem to know what they're doing, so I have faith that we'll be able to maintain the game better than Activision does at the moment.

I hope with our limitation to the IW4M project, we won't earn the hatred that Activision Publishing is pouring out on FourDeltaOne. If we do, however, we'll do our best to keep the game up and running for you to enjoy.
